Dr. Sheila Hauptmann is a third generation German immigrant having grown up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin She has earned her various degrees and doctorates at several leading universities around the world most notably in Berlin. She has traveled the world extensively becoming proficient in several languages. She has studied history particularly that of the Second World War.
Sheila has stated that her grandmother had worked for the Nazis during the war but left Germany settling in America where she married a German athlete and conceiving her mother who in turn also married another German athlete. When her grandmother died, she inherited her home in Milwaukee keeping it ever since.
Sheila has been practicing psychology in several states before finally settling in Angel Falls. This was rather by accident as a colleague referred Frank Petrovich to her. Frank is a mutant with the power to increase the major aspect of a meta and he had no control over his ability. Sheila first observed Frank in Angel Falls where he ran across the Soviet Superwoman. She decided to take him under his wing to help him control his powers. She discovered the key to his abilities during one of their sessions.
Angel Falls Edit
Sheila has slowly been analyzing various metas since arriving in Angel Falls which includes Kai Steel which created an opening for her to become the Guardians’ resident psychiatrist. Her list of known confidents includes the President of the United States.
She has an assistant in Rebecca Weller, a young telepath and minor illusionist. She has helped Sheila enter some the minds of some patients in order to ascertain their strengths, weaknesses, and true problems. Rebecca has in turn used Frank to increase and gain better control over her own powers.
Things took a strange turn when Sheila initially recruited Rebecca from the Tartarus facility. That is where she ran into Ilsa Hauppman aka Genocide who bore an uncanny resemblance to her grandmother. Whether the Fourth Reich leader is indeed Sheila’s grandmother from another dimension is unknown while Ilsa, of course, denies it even with a photograph which confirms their physical similarities along with a letter from Hitler himself to her grandmother. During the meeting with Ilsa, Sheila has offered the services of Frank for reasons not known at this time. Unbeknownst to Ilsa, Sheila has obtained at a later meeting the Fourth Reich leader’s DNA and has received the results. What she intends to do with this information is unknown at this time as is the contents.
Sheila has completed sessions with many of the Guardians gaining their trust discovering much from their personal lives.
Sheila has a network of connections which she calls on whenever she requires information. She has used various aids to help her in her endeavors ranging from her magnetic personality to a variety of perfumes and even a device which helps ward against various telepaths. It is unknown how she has acquired the technology of these items. However, she has been seen in the presence of certain CEOs of various tech companies (i.e. Randall McNeil).
Sheila has been communicating with an unknown person keeping them abreast of a myriad of topics. She also has a file in a secret vault with the word Vril on the cover. Not much if anything is known about these things and certainly not among anyone in Angel Falls.
Her personality is very professional in all regards. She is cool in her demeanor and she is constantly analyzing people that she encounters. She very rarely loses control of her emotions as she wishes to remain in control of every situation with people.
